4 out of 5 stars I like it but the lotion is better.   February 9, 2010

I like the St.Tropez Bronze Mousse. It is easy to apply after you got the hang of it as it is a bit different as if you would apply a lotion...but you have to use gloves to apply it or else the color will stain your palms, cuticles and nails...does not look nice at all! So like with all self tanners you have to do your prep work first...like body scrub, hair removal and putting on lotion on knees, ankles, ellbows and any dry patches before you put the tanner on. Additionally, I wipe of these spots carefully with a damp cloth after application of the self tanner which gives more natural results. I like that you can see where you applied this tanner and I have never had streaks with this product. And you can put it on and leave the house...not like with the Fake Bake Lotion which you gotta apply at night before you go to bed and there's a reason why.
The ingredients of this make my skin soft and don't dry it out and you won't smell bad as with other tanners which is a plus!
It does stain the clothes though...so I prefer putting on something dark on days I've used this product. Although it washes out! And I have a natural tan for approx. 5 days then I want to renew the tan and do the whole process again. If I want a deeper tan, I usually do the fake tanning on two consecutive days. That to me works better than using too much of the product.
I just don't like the mousse as much as the lotion...cause to me, the lotion goes on smoother but that is just my preference.
All in all, I like the St.Tropez products and it is worth the money spent as they are better in quality and last much longer and give deeper tans. I think;-)

I bought the st tropez bronzing mousse. when i put it on i had to do it as fast as i could. it was scary and comical haha. i started with my lower leg and worked up. by the time i got to my upper body my palms were getting sticky and it started getting difficult to rub on smoothly. it was difficult to get it on my back smoothly because it dried so fast. when i was finished i instantly tried to wash my hands. i had to scrub and scrub and scrub. i used the stain remover for clothes called shout to get it off. in the end they were still stained but not bad. despite the ruff time getting it applied in time the color came out even. i was excited before the first shower becuz i looked nice and tan. after my first shower though half the color came off. bummer. what was left has lasted a long time about 5 days and i take 2 showers a day. so thats good. if you want just alittle color this product is good. but ill still be looking fo something that gives better results. next time i apply it i will use alittle more. maybe that will make a difference. so fliipi expensive yikes! the money ppl spend for a good tan!

3 out of 5 stars Looks good at application but fades after shower   July 9, 2009

I have used most of the St. Tropez tanning products. This one dries really quick and gives you immediate color which is nice. The downside is you need gloves or a sponge because the color will not come off your hands. The other issue is that after you shower the color washes off and you need to reapply. It also will get all over your cloths and sheetsbut does wash out. It's like a bronzer that you see immediately but need to reapply. The lotions work better..
